“Al Dente”
"to the tooth"
“Al Dente” which translates “to the tooth” in Italian means the pasta has a firm bite and is not soft or mushy. When the best raw materials are used to make the pasta from the start it can help the pasta to remain al dente longer in the boiling pot, making it more forgiving to over-cooking. Be sure to always use four quarts of water at a full boil and check the pasta frequently to maintain al dente pasta.
