Farfalle with Italian Sausage & Broccoli Rabe
Farfalle con salsiccia Italiana e cime di broccoli
Ingredients
- 8 oz. Pasta Lensi Farfalle
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lb. Italian Sausage, casing removed, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs. broccoli rabe, washed & sliced into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Wine Pairing: Trebbiano (Emilia Romagna Region)

Directions
Cook pasta according to directions. Drain.
Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add sausage and sauté until well browned. Stir in garlic and red pepper. Cook 1 minute. Add broccoli rabe and toss to blend; cover and cook until stalks are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in broth and butter. Bring to a boil and cook, uncovered, until stock is reduced by half. Fold hot pasta into the sauce.
Toss with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately. Mangiare bene.
